IMMEDIATE DENTOALVEOLAR RESTORATION

Workshop I. – MDDr. Michal Novosad

Implant placement has become a common part of the daily routine for implantologists. The course focuses on the IDR (Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration) technique, which is based on a one-step protocol designed by José Carlos Martins da Rosa. This protocol utilizes autogenous bone grafts harvested from the maxillary tuberosity to reconstruct bone defects during implant placement.

Prof. Dr. MAURO MERLI MD, DDS

Mauro Merli, MD, DDS, is Professor of Periodontology at the Polytechnic University of Marche, President of Clinica Merli and Scientific Director of Accademia Dentofacciale Merli. He is an active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and the Italian Society of Prosthetic Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation. Prof. Merli has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President of SIdP and is the President-elect of SIPRO for 2025.

Dr. Merli is the author of Implant Therapy: The Integrated Treatment Plan (Quintessence, 2013) and Prosthetics in Implant Therapy (2016) and is an editorial consultant for The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. Professor Merli’s expertise is widely recognized and he is a sought-after international lecturer and distinguished author. Together with his brother and sister, he maintains a private practice in Rimini, Italy.

MDDr. Michal Novosad

graduated in dentistry from the Faculty of Medicine of Palacký University in Olomouc in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a Senior House Officer at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Eastbourne District General Hospital in the UK, within the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery. Since 2012, he has been practicing at the private dental clinic STOMMA s.r.o. in Břeclav, specializing in dentoalveolar surgery and implantology. He is a co-author of several articles and has delivered over 30 lectures both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is part of the International Interdisciplinary Dental Study Group and has authored courses on tooth autotransplantation, as well as co-authored courses on collaboration between orthodontists and dentoalveolar surgeons. MUDr. Novosad completed the Advanced Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Dentistry, led by Dr. Istvan Urban, under the auspices of the University of Szeged in Budapest. He is a certified member of the Czech Academy of Dental Aesthetics and a member of the Czech Stomatosurgical Society, ITI, and the Implantology Club of the Czech Republic.

Dr. Łukasz Bańczyk

Head of Dentistry at Alfamedica Medical Center, graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Medical University of Silesia in 2008. He is an active member of the Polish Society of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Surgery, and Implantology. He regularly participates in international training (Germany, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Italy) in implantology, bone regeneration, and prosthetics. He is a certified implantologist for Thommen Medical, Straumann (Swiss system), and Bego (German system).

Dr. Daniel Ciapiński

owner of the “Dentrum” clinic in Katowice, is a specialist in maxillofacial surgery and implantology. He earned his PhD with a focus on tissue regeneration in the oral cavity. Founder of the Silesia Study Club of the International Team for Implantology, he regularly conducts training and lectures both in Poland and abroad. He has authored numerous scientific publications in Polish and English.
